Mindset progress can be hard to SEE
Neuro coaching can be applied to anything, but some things are hard to SEE.
So I want to show you this. This is what it looks like to apply neuro coaching principles to physical fitness.
Every stage of the process, every milestone, every micro decision and micro habit can be related to business.
And finances.
And relationships.
And any change you want to make in your life!
I’m sharing these pictures of myself so that you can SEE what’s possible in exactly one year.
- I didn’t spend 2 hours in the gym every day.
- I didn’t live on chicken and lettuce… or even go into a calorie deficit.
- I didn’t buy tiny bikinis to motivate me or put Sports Illustrated models on my refrigerator.
After spending a decade obsessed with mindset and spirituality—then becoming certified as a neuro coach—I thought I’d do an experiment and apply the neuro coaching principles to the last missing piece: body.
Here’s what I DID do:
- I defined my why.
The reasons I used to want to to get into shape were rooted in negativity and insecurity... and they never worked long-term. My goals were to improve my posture so I looked as confident as I felt speaking on stage, and to SHOW my body that I actually did love it and was extremely grateful for the gift of life its given me (and my two healthy children).
- I made a decision, a few actually.
I decided I was going to focus some energy on my health. I decided it was time to take care of my body. I decided I was worthy of investing time, money and energy into.
- I put money behind it, forcing myself to make a commitment.
Without collateral, I knew my old habits would win.
- I got coaches: one to help with building strength and one to teach me about nutrition.
Without guidance, I knew a lack of information would slow me down.
- I joined a community.
Without accountability, I knew my old mindset would eventually talk me out of progress.
- I just did the damn thing.
Again and again. I didn’t push back. I didn’t question the advice. Yes, I doubted at times. Yes, I was afraid at times. Yes, I was tired at times. But I showed up, turned off my brain, and allowed myself to be guided.
- I paid attention to my mindset.
I was intentional about listening to, acknowledging, refuting, and rewiring automatic chatter that was going on inside my head.
- I was kind to myself.
Kind to my body. Gave it love and attention and praised it for how strong and capable it already was. I stayed in gratitude.
- I celebrated micro wins.
Tiny personal records. Rewarded myself for itty-bitty jobs well done.
The early decisions I made became reinforced by the actions, reinforced by the kind words I said to myself, and reinforced by celebrating the micro-wins.
Being able to share my progress with coaches who care and a like-minded community who continue to push me and believe in my abilities was and is an integral part of the journey.
These all contributed to reinforcing and building new beliefs… beliefs that have trickled into every area of my life.
Because it’s MY brain… rewiring one area inevitably rewires another. Health, life, business, relationships, finances… they’re all connected. PICK ONE.
Pick one area. Use the tools. Make a decision. Do the damn thing. Over and over. Be kind to yourself. Believe in yourself and worthiness. Celebrate teeny-tiny wins. Get a coach.
ELEVATE.
We are expansive beings. If we’re not expanding, we are contracting… Shrinking… Reversing. If you’re a living, breathing being (which you are) you are worthy of growth—not just professionally. Imagine who you’ll become when your personal life is in alignment with your professional life!!
Is it possible you’ll:
- Be stronger?
- Think more clearly?
- Have more energy?
- Be more creative?
- Lead more easily?
- Be more inspiring?
- Grow your business?
- Improve relationships?
- Love your life?
- Love your body?
- Heal?
- Feel at peace?
- Be more present?
- Attract more opportunities?
Yes. 100% yes. You will. You’re not just worthy of it, you were made for it.
